I wanted to do a Marvel version to go with the DC version, but these two drawings were the only ones that came out passable enough.
Mami is the Silver Surfer and Kyubey is Galactus.
Sayaka is Spider-Man - They both try to do the right thing, but constantly gets crapped on by the universe.
(I had pencilled in Kyoko as Wolverine and Homura as the Punisher. I was trying to think who’d Madoka might be, and then I just thought the Scarlet Witch? “No More Witches”)
